Senior System Administrator

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior System Administrator to join our IT team. This role is vital to ensuring the stability, security, and efficiency of our IT infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in Windows Server administration, hardware and software troubleshooting, and network management. You will also play a key role in supporting internal users and mentoring junior team members. Key Responsibilities: Administer and maintain Windows Server environments, including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policies , and file/print services . Conduct hardware diagnostics, repairs, and upgrades for desktops, laptops, and servers. Troubleshoot and resolve software, application, and OS-related issues across departments. Manage and monitor LAN/WAN networks , including firewalls, routers, switches , and wireless infrastructure . Ensure optimal system performance and availability through regular monitoring, updates, and preventive maintenance. Administer user accounts, access controls, and security permissions. Perform and verify regular data backups and lead disaster recovery drills. Liaise with vendors and service providers for procurement, maintenance, and technical support. Maintain up-to-date documentation on system configurations, standard operating procedures, and IT policies. Provide guidance, training, and mentorship to junior IT personnel. Required Skills & Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Computer Science , Information Technology , or a related field (or equivalent hands-on experience). Minimum 3 years of experience as a System Administrator or in a similar IT infrastructure role. Deep knowledge of Windows Server 2012/2016/2019 , Active Directory, and Group Policy Management. Strong experience in diagnosing and resolving hardware/software issues . Solid understanding of network protocols , subnetting , VPN , and firewall configurations . Familiarity with virtualization tools such as VMware or Hyper-V is a plus. Proficiency in PowerShell scripting and automation is advantageous. Strong analytical thinking, troubleshooting skills, and attention to detail. Excellent communication skills with a collaborative and proactive mindset.
