Senior System Administrator

As a Senior System Administrator specializing in Unix at Circana, your role will involve providing hands-on technical support for Linux & UNIX systems at an experienced level. You will be responsible for supporting and administering 4000+ Linux servers in a highly commercial and agile environment. Your key responsibilities will include: - Providing technical support for Red Hat/ CentOS/OEL OS in both Physical and Virtual Environments - Installing and troubleshooting hardware as necessary - Building servers following standard procedures and delivering them as per agreed timelines - Working with users to troubleshoot and solve operational issues - Providing operating system level support to application developers and performing server migrations as necessary - Coordinating planned and unplanned outages and potential recovery efforts in the event of system failure - Building CentOS/RHEL/OEL using the Golden Image and performing Image backups - Deploying security patches to the server environment following standard patching methodology - Performing Firmware updates as per the recommendation from Vendor - Monitoring system logs, activity, and performance on all servers daily - Utilizing the ticketing system to address and resolve customer work requests - Managing and monitoring server uptimes without impacting SLA levels - Joining Team meetings & providing updates on Action items/initiatives - Supporting VMs in Azure/Cloud environment - Providing Root Cause Analysis for Sev1/Sev2 Outages and working towards permanent resolution of the issue - Documenting procedures and following best practice procedures Qualifications required for this role include: - Bachelor's Degree required in Marketing, Business, or related field with a quantitative component - Total 5+ years of experience in supporting Linux & UNIX systems - 1-2 years of analytical experience preferred - Retail knowledge a plus - Passion for consulting utilizing data and analytics - Strong verbal communication skills - Responsiveness and speed with an eye for detail & accuracy - Ability to work well in teams and with clients - Ability to balance and prioritize multiple competing tasks - Creative thinking At Circana, in addition to technical skills and experience, your shared behaviors are crucial.
