Senior Student Counsellor- Overseas Education

As a Senior Student Counsellor at our overseas education consultancy team in Chennai, your role will involve guiding students through the process of studying abroad. You will be expected to provide detailed counselling to students regarding overseas education options based on their academic background, interests, and career goals. Additionally, you will assist students in shortlisting universities and programs, guide them through the admission process, support them in visa applications, and ensure high conversion rates from enquiry to enrollment. Key Responsibilities: - Provide detailed counselling to students regarding overseas education options based on their academic background, interests, and career goals. - Assist students in shortlisting universities and programs as per their eligibility and preferences. - Guide students through the entire admission process including application, documentation, SOP/LOR support, and follow-ups. - Support students in preparing for visa interviews and submitting visa applications. - Maintain up-to-date knowledge on international education trends, admission requirements, and visa regulations. - Coordinate with university representatives and attend training/workshops. - Ensure high conversion rates from enquiry to enrollment. - Handle walk-ins, phone/email enquiries, and conduct follow-ups professionally. - Mentor junior counsellors and provide guidance where required. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's or Masters degree in any field. - Minimum 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in overseas education counselling. - Strong knowledge of student visa processes and university admission cycles. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Ability to manage multiple student profiles and timelines efficiently. - Proficient in MS Office and CRM tools. In addition to the above, the preferred qualifications include certifications in career counselling or international education, prior experience with education fairs or university tie-ups, and exposure to counselling for multiple study destinations. Please note that this is a full-time, permanent position based in Vadapalani, Chennai with a monthly salary of approximately 30,000 INR along with incentives. The work schedule is day shift, and the ability to commute/relocate to Chennai, Tamil Nadu is required before starting work.,
