Senior Staff Engineer-Java

As a part of the team at StoneX, you will be engaged in business-critical activities that contribute to the efficient operation of the company. This involves strategic marketing, financial management, human resources, and operational oversight, where you will have the opportunity to optimize processes and implement transformative policies to drive the company forward. Your key responsibilities will include: - Collaborating with the Product Management team to translate product requirements and functional maps into technical design and frameworks. - Preparation and review of technical specifications, code review, and the ability to code when necessary. - Validating development builds, providing early feedback, and ensuring high-quality delivery. - Keeping abreast of emerging opportunities in CI/CD and cloud-based deployment. - Assisting production support teams in resolving issues and enhancing their productivity with efficient tools. - Working closely with Agile Team Members to maximize business value. - Mentoring and guiding Junior Developers on the Java J2EE technology stack. To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications: - Over 8 years of experience in Software Development. - Proficiency in developing applications on Java SpringBoot Framework. - Experience with Messaging/Integration middleware products like Kafka and Rabbit MQ. - Familiarity with Web Frameworks, Micro Front Ends, HTML, CSS, JS, and React framework. - Knowledge of Relational Databases such as SQL Server and Non-relational Databases like MongoDB. - Strong grasp of Object-Oriented Design & Development principles. - Hands-on experience with Agile Development Techniques and tools such as Azure DevOps and JIRA. - Proficiency in Software Versioning systems such as SVN and Git. - Experience with Unit Testing Frameworks and Test Automation Frameworks. - Exposure to Microsoft Azure cloud infrastructure and deploying using Docker Containers with Kubernetes. - Understanding of CI/CD pipeline processes and applications.
