Job Description

As a Senior Specialist in Product Management at Mastercard, you will play a crucial role in providing innovative, secure, and reliable switching solutions for the Open Banking team. Your primary responsibility will be to analyze product hardware and software to ensure that business and functional requirements are met. You will also offer technical support during the implementation of new products and services, providing subject matter expertise for support escalations. Your role will involve prioritizing and identifying enhancements across applications and systems, determining development impacts, and collaborating with developers and users to ensure the accuracy of enhancements. Additionally, you will lead review sessions of technical requirements and manage the defect resolution process. To excel in this position, you should possess advanced skills in analysis and requirement definition, along with a strong understanding of the software development lifecycle. Proficiency in agile development practices, especially Scrum and/or Kanban, is essential, as well as experience with tools such as Jira and Rally. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, are key, along with strong relationship-building, collaborative, and organizational abilities. Having a high degree of initiative, self-motivation, and the willingness to tackle challenging opportunities will set you up for success in this role. Previous experience leading technical products, particularly in areas like artificial intelligence, machine learning, or computer vision, will be advantageous. Hands-on experience with developing technical roadmaps, writing user stories, and coordinating conflicting requirements will also be beneficial. Experience with software development, including microservices architecture, REST APIs, and languages like JavaScript, Node, and Java, is desirable. Familiarity with coding and the ability to navigate complex technical requirements are valuable assets. Your role will involve providing technical expertise and recommendations, distilling user needs into actionable requirements, and addressing specific business needs. Educationally, a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or Management Information Systems, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and education, is required for this position.
