Job Summary:

Senior Sourcing Specialist

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the sourcing process for key categories, ensuring cost-effective procurement strategies are implemented.
  • Develop and execute sourcing strategies that align with business objectives, focusing on cost savings, quality, and delivery timelines.
  • Conduct thorough market research and supplier assessments to identify and evaluate the best suppliers and products.
  • Negotiate supplier agreements and contracts to secure the best pricing, terms, and conditions.
  • Foster and maintain strong, long-term relationships with suppliers to ensure high levels of service and performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as procurement, finance, and legal to ensure procurement compliance and efficiency.
  • Track and report on sourcing performance metrics, including savings, supplier performance, and compliance.
  • Mentor junior sourcing staff and assist in the development of procurement processes and strategies.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, market conditions, and emerging technologies to drive innovation in sourcing strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies, procedures, and relevant regulations during the sourcing process.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • 6 to 8 years of relevant experience in sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management, with a strong background in strategic sourcing.
  • Expertise in supplier relationship management, cost negotiations, and procurement strategies.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple sourcing projects and priorities effectively.
  • Proficiency in procurement software, Microsoft Office Suite, and data analysis tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and lead cross-functional initiatives.
  • CIPS certification or similar procurement qualification is a plus.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in global sourcing and managing international supplier relationships.
  • Knowledge of sustainability and ethical sourcing practices.
  • Strong background in cost reduction initiatives and supplier performance management.\
