Job Description

As a Sr Sourcing Analyst at BMC, you play a crucial role in managing assigned global categories or category suppliers and spending. Your responsibilities include acting as a subject matter expert to the business, developing and leading the global category strategy, and nurturing internal business partner and supplier relationships. Here's how you will contribute to BMC's success: - Work with internal stakeholders to understand sourcing requirements and identify suppliers that meet budget, service levels, and other total cost of ownership factors. - Negotiate supplier terms & conditions to ensure key business requirements are met, such as cost, price, quality, logistics, and reliability. - Develop and lead a global strategy in collaboration with business partners. - Analyze spending data and market trends to ensure competitive pricing during contract negotiations. - Provide market intelligence on commodity market trends and global opportunities. - Implement category management tools and processes to enhance spend analytics and customer service. - Monitor and report supplier performance and maintain strategic relationships with critical suppliers. - Engage with internal customers to understand their plans and future needs, and provide proactive reporting to upper management. - Establish yourself as an expert in category subject matter knowledge. Qualifications required for this role include: - Developing and implementing strategic procurement strategies for multiple categories. - Conducting market analysis to evaluate potential suppliers. - Negotiating contracts and terms with suppliers to ensure the best value for the organization. - Collaborating with cross-functional teams to align procurement strategies with business needs. - Monitoring supplier performance and addressing issues to maintain a high level of service. - Identifying cost-saving opportunities and implementing initiatives to achieve savings targets. - Ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations. - Staying updated on industry trends and best practices to improve procurement processes. Experience required for this role: - Bachelor's degree or higher in Supply Chain, Finance, or other Business Discipline. - 5-7 years of experience in Procurement and Supply Chain. - Experience in multiple categories such as Marketing, Facilities, IT, and M&E.
