Mission of Role

Suntory Global Spirits has committed to a 5-stage Global Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) Process to support the new Brand House Operating model. The S&OP Process is an enterprise-wide integrated business planning process (IBP) for Suntory Global Spirits to manage the delivery of its business goals and commitments over the 3-year strategic planning process. This position is a critical role in Suntory Global Spirits commitment to the S&OP process to achieve our growth ambitions and financial goals over the 3-year strategic planning horizon. This position is essential in orchestrating the end-to-end S&OP process for our Business Unit in India.

The development of Suntory Global Spirits S&OP Process globally will require the implementation of a business transformation program. Suntory Global Spirits S&OP Process needs to evolve globally from the supply-chain focus of demand-supply join-up to a cross-functionally-aligned IBP process that consistently engages the key functions of Marketing, Sales, Supply Chain and Finance. This position is accountable for: (a) monthly India Executive Reviews in direct partnership with the Finance Director, India and (b) monthly International Executive Reviews in direct partnership with the CFO, International Region. Reporting to this position will be two Demand Planners.

Role Responsibilities

  • India S&OP Process Leadership: Orchestrating the 5-stage S&OP Process for INDIA. Requires cross-functional alignment with Marketing, Sales, Global Commercialization, Brand House Leadership, Supply Chain & Operations and Finance on key decisions, risks & opportunities and action plans to deliver against the committed business plans over the S&OP horizon (eventually, current budget year + 2 fiscal years). Maintains strong liaison with key senior leaders. Ensures transparent and timely communication to drive a cross-functionally aligned, integrated business plan. Partners with the India Finance leaders on the monthly S&OP Integrated Reconciliation process and Executive Review to the India Leadership Team; partners on the monthly S&OP Integrated Reconciliation Process and Executive Review for the India LT. Leading the Demand Planning process for India.
  • Demand Planning & Analytics: Providing the demand planning & analytics, in partnership with Commercial Sales & Marketing for India to gain alignment on the latest view of the sales and depletions forecasts (volume and value) at the monthly Demand Review for the S&OP time horizon. Leverage business analytics capability and digital technology to transform our demand planning capabilities to driver-based forecasting.
  • S&OP Business Transformation Program: Collaborate with Global S&OP CoE/BPO team to develop the roadmap will encompass cross-functional projects that cover:
  • Process improvements based on insights from KPIs and external best practices
  • Systems functionality driven by the process design and knowledge of advancements in digital technology
  • Organization change management defining new ways of working and talent development & training based on the implementation of process and system improvements
  • Best Practices & External Benchmarking: Developing and leveraging a professional network to identify best practices as an essential approach to continuously improve Suntory Global Spirits S&OP capabilities globally. Assess Suntory Global Spiritss S&OP capabilities against external benchmarks as a critical input to drive continuous improvement.
  • Continuous Improvement: Leveraging business metrics and KPIs and insights from Global S&OP CoE/BPO regarding best practices and external benchmarks to define improvement opportunities. Support the development of the business case required for project approval, which will include IT and resource investments.
  • Integrated Planning: Partner with CFO, International Region to integrate 3-year strategic planning process and S&OP process for the International BUs.
  • People Management: Set goals for direct reports. Lead talent assessment and development for the India S&OP team. Foster strong engagement by proactively embracing our Suntory Global Spirits leadership behaviors and our commitment to Diversity & Inclusion.

Education/Experience

  • S&OP (9+year minimum work experience)
  • S&OP transformation and change management experience
