Senior Software Test Engineer

As a Senior Software Test Engineer at OPTX, you will have the opportunity to work closely with a team of software engineers to ensure the accuracy of testing through quality assurance activities. Your primary responsibilities will include: - Carrying out technical assessments on requested features and identifying the scope of work and dependencies for test requirements. - Designing, implementing, and maintaining test plans to execute identified test scenarios. - Providing technical guidance for identifying automation targets and designing white box test scenarios. - Assisting in troubleshooting and debugging code to find the root cause of issues. - Collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders to create and execute test plans. - Identifying opportunities to adopt innovative technologies and improve software test operational processes. To qualify for this role, you must meet the following requirements: - 5+ years of experience in software testing. - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a relevant field. - Good knowledge of any scripting language, preferably Python. - Understanding of C#. - Experience working with defect tracking and test management tools such as JIRA/Zephyr. - Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with global stakeholders. - Familiarity with software debugging and troubleshooting using industry-standard tools. - Ability to analyze information, use logic to perform tasks efficiently within deadlines, and possess good problem-solving skills. - Proficiency in using source control systems.
