Job Description

As a Senior Engineer joining the Apps & Extensibility team at Zendesk, you will play a crucial role in contributing to the technical roadmap, producing high-quality code, and collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure operational excellence. With your strong background in React, Ruby on Rails, JavaScript, TypeScript, and cloud computing, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse team spread across continents and make a significant impact on the global engineering team. **Key Responsibilities:** - Produce high quality reusable code, tests, and documentation - Contribute to solution designs and technical decisions - Collaborate with Engineering Managers and Product Managers on the technical roadmap - Adhere to best engineering practices and coding standards - Mentor junior engineers to enhance the team's collective success - Actively seek to improve infrastructure, code, processes, and practices - Work closely with cross-functional teams throughout the software lifecycle **Qualifications Required:** - Minimum 5 years of software development experience, preferably in a SaaS environment - Proficiency in Ruby on Rails and React - Strong understanding of JavaScript/TypeScript fundamentals - Experience in designing and consuming REST APIs - Familiarity with Cloud technologies/tools, specifically AWS - Expertise in continuous integration/continuous delivery practices - Effective communication skills to convey technical decisions - Good interpersonal skills for collaborative teamwork - Ability to work independently and proactively Please note that this is a hybrid role, requiring 3 days in the office and relocation to Pune.
