Senior Software Engineer

As a Senior Software Engineer at Dell Technologies in Bangalore, you will be a key player in delivering next-generation application enhancements and new products. Your role will involve designing and developing software for various platforms, peripherals, applications, and diagnostics using cutting-edge technologies and methodologies. Key Responsibilities: - Troubleshoot and perform Root Cause Analysis/debugging of system/component issues (Hardware / Software) using relevant tools and methodologies. - Provide detailed technical information to internal and external teams to support findings and drive issue resolution. - Establish strong relationships with internal engineering teams and Operating System vendors to achieve engineering objectives. - Stay updated on Operating System / Hypervisor technologies and leverage knowledge to train internal teams and enhance processes. - Design and implement intelligent automation using AI and agentic tools to improve efficiency and productivity. Qualifications Required: - 5-9 years of relevant experience in the software/hardware industry with a strong background in Computer Architecture (x86/ARM) and exposure to Hardware, BIOS, Firmware, Assembler, and Kernel abstraction layers. - Proficiency in C / Assembly level Programming / Debugging. - Good understanding of Windows Operating System Internals and a background in Device Driver Development. - Conceptual understanding of networking and storage subsystems with strong analytical skills for troubleshooting technical issues. - Experience in developing automation and familiarity with AI/agentic tools. Desirable Qualifications: - Proficiency in Python and experience with AI frameworks. - Knowledge of system management tools will be a plus.
