Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive
Sr. Engineer - Data Support
to join our Data Engineering support team. This role is crucial in ensuring the enhancements, bug fixes, smooth operation, stability, and performance of our data platforms and pipelines. The ideal candidate will bring a strong mix of technical expertise, problem-solving ability, and cross-functional communication skills to manage live issues, automate workflows, and optimize data operations across cloud platforms. This role requires a strong technical background in Snowflake, DBT, SQL, AWS and various data integration tools.
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with Engineering and Business teams to fix live issues and implement enhancements.
- Analyze and investigate data related issues, troubleshoot discrepancies, and provide timely resolutions.
- Automate manual processes and enhance operational efficiency through scripting and tool integrations.
- Perform daily health checks and proactive monitoring of the platform to ensure system stability and performance.
- Manage incident response, including issue triage, root cause analysis, and resolution coordination.
- Maintain business communications, providing updates on platform status, incidents, and resolutions.
- Oversee platform administration and maintenance across AWS, Snowflake, DBT, and related technologies.
- Work with data pipelines and tools like HVR, Stitch, Fivetran, and Terraform to ensure smooth data operations.
- Continuously improve monitoring, alerting, and operational workflows to minimize downtime and enhance performance.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

5 + years
of relevant experience in data operations. - Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Experience with AWS, Snowflake, DBT, HVR, Stitch, Fivetran, and Terraform for data platform management.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills to diagnose and resolve issues.
- Experience in incident management, system monitoring, and automation.
- Proficiency in scripting SQL, Python to support automation and data analysis.
- Ability to communicate effectively with technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
