Job Description

Develop and enhance New Relic s API Gateway, which processes all GraphQL API requests, using Elixir/ERLang.
Engage in the design, development, and enhancement of our observability platforms core features, delivering scalable and reliable solutions.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams in designing robust, scalable, and efficient systems that cater to the needs of a growing customer base.
Conduct regular research and experimentation with emerging technologies to enhance our platforms capabilities.
Translate business requirements into technical solutions by working closely with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders.
Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, applying optimizations to ensure platform stability and availability.
Promote a culture of continuous learning, improvement, and innovation within the engineering team, sharing knowledge and fostering professional growth.

Your Opportunity

Bachelor s degree in software development, engineering, or a related technical field.
6+ years of experience as a software engineer working with Elixir/ERLang.
Good understanding of Elixir frameworks and related design patterns.
Experience in designing, developing, and maintaining large-scale software systems
Good understanding of scalable distributed systems and microservices architecture.
Familiarity with API ecosystems, including security, performance, and transport requirements.
Passion for exploring new technologies and finding creative solutions to complex problems.
Excellent collaboration abilities, with the capability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts clearly.
Keep up-to-date with technologies like AWS/Azure/GCP, serverless, Docker, and Kubernetes.

Bonus Points

Hands-on knowledge of Ruby and Java, with an understanding of their respective ecosystems.
Contribution to open-source projects.
Experience working with or building GraphQL schemas.
Experience building and maintaining high-throughput pipelines and distributed systems.
Experience working on observability products, particularly in the SaaS vendor space.
