Senior Software Engineer I - Golang Fullstack

As a core member of Periscope's technology team, your role will involve developing and implementing core enterprise products, ensuring that McKinsey's craft remains at the forefront of technology. You will lead software development projects in a hands-on capacity, spending approximately 70% of your time writing and reviewing code, as well as creating software designs. Your responsibilities will include expanding expertise in database design, core middle tier modules, performance tuning, cloud technologies, DevOps, and continuous delivery domains. Additionally, you will actively engage in learning new technologies, frameworks, and approaches, while providing coaching and mentoring to developers to enhance organizational capabilities. Your role will be based in either the Bengaluru or Gurugram office as part of the Growth, Marketing & Sales team, primarily aligned with Periscope's technology team, which focuses on enabling better commercial decisions through actionable insights. **Key Responsibilities:** - Develop and implement core enterprise products - Lead software development projects in a hands-on manner - Write and review code, create software designs - Expand expertise in database design, core middle tier modules, performance tuning, cloud technologies, DevOps, and continuous delivery domains - Actively engage in learning new technologies, frameworks, and approaches - Provide coaching and mentoring to developers to enhance organizational capabilities **Qualifications Required:** - Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent practical experience - 6+ years of experience building complex backend systems, with at least 3 years in Golang - Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL, experience in tuning queries and managing large datasets - Hands-on experience with Elasticsearch - Skilled in designing and building RESTful APIs, understanding of protocols, and unit tests - Background in CI/CD best practices, knowledge of Jenkins, Gitlab, Docker, Sonarqube - Familiarity with frontend development in React and experience with AG Grid is a plus - Proficient in modern engineering practices, including code refactoring, design patterns, continuous integration, application scalability, and security - Knowledge of agile software development methodology, performance optimization, and application profiler tools - Experience with GenAI coding assistants (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude Code) is beneficial - Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a track record of developing innovative solutions - Effective under pressure, capable of managing client expectations,
