Job Description

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly skilled Backend Engineer with strong experience in development of Microservices using Python, and good understanding of cloud infrastructure. This role is critical for designing & developing scalable backend systems, maintaining cloud deployments, and ensuring system reliability in real-world scenarios.

The ideal candidate should also possess strong debugging skills and a proven track record of handling field/customer issues in production environments

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and deploy scalable microservices using
Python
.
Containerize applications and manage deployment using
Docker
and
Kubernetes
.
Build and manage infrastructure on
AWS
(EC2, Lambda, S3, VPC, RDS, ECS/EKS, etc.).
Debug and troubleshoot issues in production and staging environments.
Act as a key point of contact for field teams for real-time issue resolution.
Monitor system health, performance, and cost optimization in the cloud.
Collaborate with DevOps, QA, and front-end teams to ensure seamless integration and delivery.
Participate in architecture reviews and technical discussions.

Required Skills:

3+ years of experience in backend software development using
Python
.
Design and implement scalable microservices and REST APIs using Python
Experience working with NoSQL databases such as Elasticsearch and MongoDB.
Experience working with messaging bus like Kafka or RabbitMQ
Very good understanding with containerization (Docker) and orchestration tools (Kubernetes, ECS).
Hands-on experience with
AWS services
and infrastructure setup (IAM, VPC, EC2, ECS/EKS, S3, CloudWatch, etc.).
Proficient in
debugging tools
, log analysis (e.g., CloudWatch, ELK stack), and incident management.
Experience handling
customer-reported field issues
and resolving production bugs quickly.
Knowledge of RESTful APIs and asynchronous programming.

Nice

Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions.
Familiarity with Agile methodologies and ticketing systems (JIRA).

Education:

Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
