Job Description

We’re hiring: Senior Software Engineer (DICOM Medical Imaging)

Location: India

PathPresenter

Senior Software Engineer with strong DICOM and medical imaging experience

What you’ll do:

  • Design and build scalable systems for DICOM image handling (storage, retrieval, visualization).
  • Optimize imaging pipelines for performance and interoperability.
  • Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and pathologists to deliver innovative solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with medical data standards (DICOM, HL7, FHIR) and security regulations (HIPAA/GDPR).

What we’re looking for:

  • 5+ years software engineering experience, 3+ with DICOM/medical imaging.
  • Strong skills in 

    C#, Java, or C++

    .
  • Hands-on experience with imaging libraries (ITK, OpenSlide, DCMTK, DCM4Che etc.).
  • Solid knowledge of cloud platforms ( Azure/ AWS/GCP) and distributed systems.

Nice to have:

  • Digital pathology/WSI experience, ML pipelines, GPU rendering.
