Senior Software Engineer

Key Skills:

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Build, enhance, and provide production support for GCP-based applications using technologies like Google BigQuery, Python, and workflows.
• Contribute to end-to-end feature delivery including requirement analysis, design, development, environment setup, data load, testing, deployment, and code reviews.
• Establish a digital environment and automate processes to reduce variation and ensure consistent high-quality code and data.
• Collaborate with operations, development, and test engineers to identify and resolve operational issues such as performance, alerts, design defects, and more.
• Automate the CI/CD pipeline within a DevOps product/service team and promote a culture of continuous improvement.
• Address code scanning findings with effective remediation solutions.
• Ensure compliance with IT General Controls such as SDLC and DEPL, and provide evidence during audit reviews when required.
• Be flexible to work in shifts and provide on-call support as needed.

Experience Requirements:

• Knowledge of Google Cloud Platform, BigQuery, shell scripting, SQL scripts, and batch scheduling tools such as Control-M.
• 4-7 years of experience in data warehouse or regulatory reporting projects.
• Familiarity with risk and compliance processes.
• Understanding of production support procedures, including change, incident, problem, and service management.
• Basic knowledge of DevOps models and tools such as Jenkins, Ansible, and GitHub.
• Ability to work independently and resolve production issues, collaborating with global teams across time zones.
• Knowledge of Agile delivery processes and DevOps practices.
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tooling is an added advantage.
• Willingness to continually enhance skills across various areas such as business knowledge, interface understanding, impact assessments, development, code scanning, deployments, and operational support.
