Essential Responsibilities
- Delivers complete solutions spanning all phases of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) (design, implementation, testing, delivery and operations), based on definitions from more senior roles
- Advises immediate management on project-level issues
- Guides junior engineers
- Operates with little day-to-day supervision, making technical decisions based on knowledge of internal conventions and industry best practices
- Applies knowledge of technical best practices in making decisions
Expected Qualifications
- 3+ years relevant experience and a Bachelor s degree OR Any equivalent combination of education and experience

Design and develop scalable backend systems
Optimize system performance and reliability
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality products
Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical discussions
What do you need to bring -
5 + years of backend development experience and a bachelor s degree in computer science or related field, OR any equivalent combination of education and experience
Proficiency in at least one backend language (Java, Python, Ruby on Rails)
Advanced proficiency in backend development with Java EE frameworks, including experience with Spring MVC or Hibernate
Experience designing and implementing RESTful services using Java, with a focus on scalability and reliability
Proven ability to mentor junior engineers and contribute to code reviews and design discussions
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure)
Experience with databases (SQL, NoSQL) and ORM tools
Strong understanding of database design
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with large-scale, high-performance systems
Knowledge of the payment processing industry and relevant regulations
Contributions to open-source projects
