Senior Software Engineer (Backend)

You are a seasoned Senior Software Engineer (Backend) responsible for developing and maintaining robust backend systems. Your extensive experience in Python, AWS, SQL, and NoSQL will be crucial for this role. As a strategic leader, you will translate ideas into tangible digital solutions and optimize the agile journey within an AWS-driven cloud ecosystem. In this position, you will engage directly with an offshore client, requiring flexible working hours to align with project demands. Your ability to embrace diverse work cultures, ensure synchronized deliverables, and maintain proactive communication will be essential for aligning with the client's vision. Your responsibilities will include designing and building backend services with a focus on high availability, low latency, and scalability. You will develop efficient, reusable Python code, integrate front-end elements with server-side logic, and implement solutions using AWS services, particularly AWS Lambdas. Optimizing application performance and managing costs effectively within the AWS ecosystem will also be part of your role. Managing and implementing SQL and NoSQL databases to ensure data integrity and security will be critical. Collaborating with team members, engaging in system architecture brainstorming sessions, and mentoring junior developers are additional responsibilities. Staying updated with emerging technologies and industry trends is expected. To qualify for this role, you should have a Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field and a minimum of 4 years of backend development experience with Python expertise. Profound knowledge of AWS services, SQL, and NoSQL databases is required. Experience with AWS Lambdas and advanced programming concepts is essential. Familiarity with DevOps practices, security best practices, and Agile development environments is necessary.
