Senior Software Engineer - Android

Role Overview: You will be joining the Technology team at Priceline, a company dedicated to creating, testing, learning, and iterating to better meet the needs of customers. As a Senior Android Engineer, you will play a key role in driving a faster and more responsive mobile experience for millions of travelers through Priceline's Search Platform. You will collaborate with an award-winning Android team to build innovative, high-scale mobile products and shape personalized experiences for customers. Key Responsibilities: - Showcase fluency with Java programming language, Kotlin, Android SDK, memory management, and object-oriented principles - Lead, mentor, and guide other developers in standard methodologies - Program with the latest Android technologies such as Android Architecture Components, Navigation Framework, Android Jetpack, and more - Collaborate, design, and develop new products using Agile development techniques - Implement RESTful API design and A/B tests for real-time analytics - Work closely with Product Managers and UI/UX specialists to create fast, efficient, and stable code - Utilize SOLID principles and clean architecture in your development approach Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field - 5+ years of experience in Android development - Proficiency in Java, Kotlin, and Android SDK - Strong Object-Oriented (OO) software design skills - Experience with MVVM, Jetpack Compose, Retrofit, Flows, Coroutines, and advanced Kotlin components - Familiarity with unit testing, test coverage, and TDD approach - Knowledge of Jetpack Composables, Jetpack Navigation, and Hilt - Ability to analyze large and complex code bases - Participation in PR reviews and suggesting better approaches for code improvements Additional Company Details (if present): Priceline prides itself on maintaining unquestionable integrity and ethics while delivering exceptional travel experiences for customers.
