Job Description

As a Senior Software Development Engineer in the Performance Engineering team at Mastercard Processing, your role will involve ensuring that the performance of applications meets or exceeds customer expectations. You will be obsessed with scalability and response times to enhance customer experience. Here's what you will be doing: - Set up monitoring metrics including latency for all operations, traffic volume, latency, error rates, and resource utilization rates. - Derive near real-time statistics from monitoring for actionable insights. - Develop a vision for scalable architecture and performance patterns, metrics, and statistics. - Identify and remove application performance limitations and bottlenecks. Qualifications required for this role include: - Hands-on experience in coding and strong debugging skills. - Ability to dig into code or database parameters for debugging performance issues. - Experience in performance engineering tools like LoadRunner, Blazemeter, JMeter, and monitoring tools like Dynatrace and Splunk. - Proficiency in Web/Mobile Application and Web Services scripting. - Familiarity with Java virtual machine and app servers tuning, JVM GC process, and performance metrics collection. - Prior experience in agile methodologies and tools such as ALM. - Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
