Job Description

We are now looking for a Senior Software Developer for Control Systems to join us. With this position you will become a part of the global Automation Development team, which is responsible for the development of advanced control systems and IoT solutions for all Alfa Laval core products. As the ideal candidate you will have a deep understanding of control systems, and play a crucial role in advancing our control systems and contributing to our mission of achieving "autonomous operation" for our core products. You will be engaged in a dynamic Agile environment throughout the entire product lifecycle.

Your responsibilities will include:

Software engineering on PLC and HMI platform for Alfa Laval p roduct framework , involving feature breakdown, task specification, programming, testing, documentation, source code management, deployment, and issue tracking.
Web-based HMI development using our design language.
Establishing global automation standards for the platforms we use through cross-site collaboration.
Working in sprints as a part of a self-organizing team, contributing to the evolution of our products.
Maintain ing previous released of PLC / HMI framework, toolkits, libraries.

Who you are

You are a self-motivated and versatile developer with a strong interest in developing pioneering end-to-end SW solutions. As a person you are c reative, problem-solving, and have troubleshooting skills. You are c omfortable with working in a cross-cultural and cross-disciplinary environment. You are o pen mind ed and a team player with a high level of attention to details .

Furthermore, we bel ie v e you have:

A university degree, preferably a Masters (MSc, MEng, MTech) or Bachelors (BSc, BEng, BTech ), from anyone of the following field :
Mechatronics / Control & Automation / Embedded Systems / Industrial Automation / Electrical & Electronics / Instrumentation & Control / Computer Science or a related field.
Extensive experience in PLC software development using C, C++ , ST and other IEC-61131-3 programming languages .
Some years of work experience in software development and standardizations, with PLC platform and/or embedded systems.
Experience in industrial communication protocols such as Powerlink, ProfNet , Ether N et / IP , EtherC AT , Modbus, Profibus and OPC-UA.
Experience in PLC platform (i.e. B&R , Siemens, Rockwell) is considered as an advantage.
Experience in reading and understanding P&ID / Electrical drawings / FDS.
Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.

A customer-focused mindset and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.

Knowledge of Software Development Models & Methods (OOP, S88, PackML ) .
E xperience in developing web-based HMI Screens, with basic knowledge of HTML.
