Job Overview:

Key Responsibilities:

Design & Development:

Lead the design and development of robust, scalable, and maintainable web applications using Ruby on Rails, React.js, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB.

Architect and implement backend services, APIs, and databases, ensuring seamless integration with frontend components.

Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code following best practices and coding standards.

Technical Leadership:

Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior developers, promoting a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to define project requirements and deliverables.

Lead code reviews, providing constructive feedback to ensure code quality and consistency across the team.

Testing & Optimization:

• Develop and maintain automated tests to ensure the reliability and performance of applications.
• Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability, identifying and addressing performance bottlenecks.
• Ensure the security and data integrity of applications by implementing best practices in authentication, authorization, and data protection.

Collaboration & Communication:

• Work closely with DevOps to manage deployment pipelines, ensuring smooth and efficient releases.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve technical challenges and provide innovative solutions.
• Communicate technical concepts and progress to non-technical stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.

Continuous Improvement:

• Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies, tools, and practices in software development, particularly in Ruby on Rails, React.js, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB.
• Participate in architectural discussions and contribute to the evolution of our technology stack.
• Proactively identify areas for improvement in the development process and propose solutions to enhance team productivity and product quality.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Technical Expertise:

• 4+ years of professional experience as a Full Stack Software Engineer, with a strong emphasis on Ruby on Rails and React.js.
• Proficiency in backend development with Ruby on Rails, including experience with RESTful APIs, background jobs, and caching strategies.
• Strong frontend development skills with React.js, including state management, component design, and responsive UI/UX.
• In-depth knowledge of PostgreSQL, with experience in database schema design, query optimization, and performance tuning.
• Experience with MongoDB, including data modeling, indexing, and working with large datasets.

Software Development Practices:

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, version control (Git), and Agile methodologies.
• Experience with automated testing frameworks (e.g., RSpec, Jest) and test-driven development (TDD).
• Understanding of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.

• Excellent problem-solving skills with a strong analytical mindset.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Additional Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience with GraphQL, WebSockets, or other modern web technologies is a plus.
