Senior Site Engineer

1. Site Supervision & Execution

• Oversee daily site activities to ensure work is carried out as per design, specifications, and schedule.
  
• Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and site workers to ensure smooth workflow.
  
• Verify that all materials and construction work meet quality standards and safety guidelines.
  
• Monitor progress and resolve on-site issues promptly to avoid delays.
  

2. Project Planning & Coordination

• Assist in planning, scheduling, and sequencing of project tasks.
  
• Coordinate with project managers, architects, consultants, and clients for technical clarifications.
  
• Participate in site meetings and provide updates on progress, challenges, and requirements.
  
• Ensure manpower, machinery, and resources are efficiently allocated.
  

3. Quality Control & Assurance

• Implement and enforce quality control procedures on site.
  
• Inspect workmanship and materials received on site to ensure compliance with project standards.
  
• Conduct routine checks during all stages of constructionfoundation, structural, finishing, etc.
  
• Prepare snag lists and ensure timely rectification of defects.
  

4. Safety Management

• Ensure adherence to safety protocols and guidelines set by the organization.
  
• Conduct safety inspections and address unsafe practices immediately.
  
• Coordinate safety training and toolbox talks for site workers.
  
• Maintain compliance with statutory safety regulations.
  

5. Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain daily site reports, material delivery logs, and progress records.
  
• Prepare and submit work progress reports to the Project Manager.
  
• Ensure documentation for inspections, approvals, and material tests is complete and updated.
  
• Track and report any deviations from plans, delays, or cost impacts.
  

6. Material & Resource Management

• Verify material quantities used and ensure optimal utilization to avoid wastage.
  
• Raise requisitions for materials, tools, and equipment well in advance.
  
• Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials.
  
• Monitor stock levels and maintain inventory records.
  

7. Technical Support & Problem Solving

• Interpret and explain engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents to the site team.
  
• Provide on-ground solutions for technical challenges and design discrepancies.
  
• Liaise with consultants/architects for approval of changes or clarifications.
  
• Ensure construction is executed as per approved drawings.
  

8. Team Leadership & Training

• Lead and supervise junior engineers, supervisors, and site staff.
  
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members.
  
• Allocate tasks and ensure accountability of each team member.
  
• Foster teamwork and maintain good communication within the site team.
  

9. Compliance & Inspection

• Ensure work complies with local regulations, building codes, and statutory requirements.
  
• Coordinate with government authorities for inspections, approvals, and certifications.
  
• Prepare for audits and ensure proper documentation is available.
  

10. Handover & Completion

• Participate in the final inspection and ensure all works meet project quality standards.
  
• Oversee the preparation of as-built drawings and completion reports.
  
• Support the project handover process to the client with all required documentation.
