SAP MM Expertise : Senior SAP MM Functional Consultants have in- depth knowledge of the SAP MM module, its functions, and its integration with other SAP modules like SAP SD (Sales and Distribution), SAP WM (Warehouse Management), and SAP PP (Production Planning). Business Process Understanding : They collaborate closely with clients or their own organizations to understand the specific material management and procurement needs. This involves a deep understanding of the organization's procurement processes, inventory management, and logistics requirements. System Implementation : Senior SAP MM Functional Consultants are responsible for implementing and configuring the SAP MM module to meet the organization's specific requirements. This includes setting up organizational structures, defining master data, and configuring various settings. Integration : They ensure seamless integration between SAP MM and other SAP modules to streamline overall business processes. This includes integration with SAP SD for sales and procurement, SAP WM for warehouse management, and other modules as needed. Customization : Consultants may customize SAP MM to adapt it to the unique needs of the organization. This could involve configuring procurement strategies, material types, and document types. Supplier Relationship Management : They often work on optimizing supplier relationships, evaluating supplier performance, and implementing procurement strategies that reduce costs and improve procurement efficiency. Master Data Management : Senior SAP MM Consultants oversee the management of master data, including material master data, vendor master data, and purchasing info records, to ensure data accuracy and consistency. Testing and Validation : They oversee the testing phase to ensure that the SAP MM system functions correctly. This includes unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing. Training : They provide training to end- users, procurement teams, and support personnel to ensure they can effectively use the SAP MM system and troubleshoot issues. Problem- Solving : Senior SAP MM Consultants are responsible for troubleshooting and resolving issues related to SAP MM, both from a technical and functional perspective. This may involve investigating and resolving incidents, supporting end- users, and managing system performance.
