Job title: Senior Salesforce CPQ
Senior Salesforce CPQ roles in product-based companies (SaaS / subscription / usage-based platforms) prioritize deep hands-on ownership of internal quotetocash and revenue systems over external client services. These positions focus on architecting scalable, resilient, and highperformance CPQ and Revenue Cloud implementations tightly integrated with internal product, billing, and ERP stacks. Candidates must have led at least 2 to 3 complete endtoend Salesforce CPQ / Revenue Cloud deployments in true product environments, from product catalog modeling through golive, including revenue recognition and downstream ERP integration.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect, design, and implement endtoend Salesforce CPQ and Revenue Cloud solutions, including:
- Complex product modeling (bundles, options, attributes, product rules).
- Advanced pricing engines (tiered, volume, usagebased, contracted pricing, discount schedules).
- Multicurrency quoting, multi-entity / multi-org setups, and global price book strategies.
- Contract lifecycle management (amendments, renewals, cotermination, ramp deals).
- Integration with Salesforce Billing / Revenue Cloud, ARM, and downstream ERP (e.g., NetSuite, SAP S/4HANA).
- Lead full SDLC for CPQ initiatives:
- Business and technical requirements gathering with Sales, RevOps, Product, and Finance.
- Configuration of bundles, rules (product, price, validation), approval processes, and quote templates.
- Custom development using Apex, LWC, Triggers, Flows, and custom metadata for CPQ extensions.
- SIT/UAT planning, test automation where applicable, performance tuning, and production rollout.
- CI/CD-based deployments (Git, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Copado, Gearset, etc.).
- Optimize Salesforce CPQ for product company workflows:
- SaaS subscription billing, MRR/ARR modeling, ramps, and phased deployments.
- Usage-based pricing, overage models, and consumptionbased billing scenarios.
- Selfserve and product-led growth (PLG) motions: scalable quoting for highvolume, lowtouch sales.
- Tight, near real-time integration with ERP (NetSuite, SAP), data warehouse, and BI/revenue analytics.
- Own the internal CPQ / Revenue Cloud roadmap:
- Partner with Product Management, Sales Operations, Finance, and Engineering on roadmap and prioritization.
- Drive standardization, template reuse, and governance across business units and product lines.
- Implement best practices for data model design, security, sharing, and performance at scale.
Required Experience
- 10+ years of hands-on Salesforce platform experience (Sales Cloud / Service Cloud / Platform).
- 5+ years dedicated to Salesforce CPQ and Revenue Cloud / Billing, including:
- 2 - 3 full end-to-end CPQ / Billing / Revenue Cloud implementations in product-based companies (SaaS, subscription, or hardware+software), not limited to consulting or SI environments.
- Demonstrated ownership from discovery and solution design through build, testing, deployment, and hypercare in internal, production-grade environments.
- Proven track record in product-led growth and SaaS revenue scenarios:
- Design and management of complex SaaS bundles, add-ons, and modular packaging.
- Support for ARR/MRR metrics, multi-year deals, renewals, upsell/cross-sell, and coterming.
- ARM (Advanced Revenue Management) / revenue recognition enablement with Revenue Cloud or integration to external revenue systems.
- Handling high-volume quoting, large data volumes, and performance optimization in enterprise orgs.
- Strong product-company background:
- Prior experience in high-growth product organizations (e.g., Rubrik or similar cloud/SaaS vendors).
- Working within CI/CD pipelines, code review processes, branching strategies, and automated deployments.
- Cross-functional collaboration with internal engineering, SRE/DevOps, Data, Product, and Security teams on internal tools and platforms.
Essential Qualifications
- Mandatory Salesforce credentials:
- Salesforce Certified CPQ Specialist.
- Salesforce Certified Revenue Cloud Consultant / Billing Specialist.
- Salesforce Application / System / Technical Architect-level certifications strongly preferred.
- Bachelors or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Technical skills and keywords:
- Salesforce CPQ, Salesforce Billing, Revenue Cloud, ARM.
- Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Flows, Triggers, SOQL/SOSL.
- Data modeling, Large Data Volumes (LDV), performance tuning.
- Integration patterns (REST, SOAP, middleware/iPaaS such as MuleSoft, Boomi, Workato).
- CI/CD tools (Git, GitHub, GitLab, Azure DevOps, Copado, Gearset), automated testing.
- ERP integrations (NetSuite, SAP ECC/S4, Oracle), subscription management, PLG tooling.
