Job Title: Senior Relationship Manager Sales

Location: Kolkata

Role Summary

The Senior Relationship Manager Sales will be responsible for driving business development and expanding the distribution footprint in the Kolkata market, with a strong emphasis on Alternate Investment Funds (AIFs) and Portfolio Management Services (PMS). The role focuses on building long-term partnerships with distributors, IFAs, wealth managers, and high-value clients, while contributing to sustained AUM growth through strategic sales execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage distribution-led sales for PMS and AIF offerings within the assigned geography.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with channel partners, IFAs, wealth management firms, UHNIs, family offices, and direct clients.
  • Engage clients through in-person meetings, virtual interactions, and telephonic discussions for onboarding, portfolio reviews, and product presentations.
  • Identify, onboard, and nurture channel partners to expand market reach and optimize revenue generation.
  • Plan and execute sales initiatives using data-driven insights to enhance performance and accelerate AUM growth.
  • Maintain regular engagement and follow-ups with key stakeholders to ensure high levels of client retention and satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with internal product, operations, and compliance teams to ensure seamless onboarding and effective post-sales service.
  • Track industry trends, competitor strategies, and regulatory changes to support informed sales planning and market positioning.

Candidate Requirements

  • Experience:

    3+ years of experience in financial services sales and distribution.
  • Strong existing relationships with IFAs, distributors, and wealth management firms in the Eastern region.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive business growth and manage performance independently or through teams.
  • Prior exposure to Alternate Investments (PMS/AIF) is preferred; senior professionals from AMCs with relevant experience will also be considered.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Analytical and strategic thinking capability with a clear focus on identifying and capitalizing on growth opportunities.
