Job Description

BS in Mechanical, Civil, Structural, or Aerospace Engineering with 5 years of experience, MS with 3 years of experience, or PhD with one year of experience Strong computing skills with demonstrated knowledge of Continuum/Structural Mechanics and Numerical Methods Commercial experience using Ansys APDL/Workbench or similar FEA software in an engineering environment Commercial experience performing troubleshooting by simplifying complex systems, debugging, and finding root causes Five years of experience in a related position performing linear and nonlinear finite element analysis Preferred Qualifications and Skills Excellent technical knowledge and commercial experience with the ANSYS MAPDL product. Experience delivering high-quality products in a large-scale commercial organization Understanding of customer requirements and tools used in this domain Experience in performing nonlinear contact analysis and nonlinear transient dynamic analysis Effective communication and interpersonal skills Ability to learn quickly and to collaborate with others in a geographically distributed team Good attention to detail and ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects and workstreams Ability to work autonomously, passion for exploring new topics, and strong troubleshooting skills Experience using high-performance computing for computer simulations Experience in one or more programming or scripting languages such as Python and bash
