Senior R&D / QA / QC Executive - Lubricants

As a Senior R&D / QA / QC Executive at the lubricant manufacturing unit in Ahmedabad, your role will involve leading R&D efforts for new lubricant product development and formulation improvement. You will be responsible for conducting physical and chemical testing of raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products. Ensuring adherence to quality standards such as BIS, ASTM, ISO, etc., troubleshooting quality issues, implementing corrective actions, and maintaining documentation as per regulatory and audit requirements will also be key responsibilities. In addition, you will need to coordinate with production, purchase, and marketing teams for product and process improvements, as well as handle customer complaints related to product quality and provide technical support. Key Responsibilities: - Lead R&D efforts for new lubricant product development and formulation improvement. - Conduct physical and chemical testing of raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products. - Ensure adherence to quality standards (BIS, ASTM, ISO, etc.). - Troubleshoot quality issues and implement corrective actions. - Maintain documentation as per regulatory and audit requirements. - Coordinate with production, purchase, and marketing teams for product and process improvements. - Handle customer complaints related to product quality and provide technical support. Qualifications Required: - Bachelors or Masters degree in Chemistry / Chemical Engineering / Petroleum Technology or related field. - Minimum 5 years of experience in lubricant industry R&D / QA / QC. - Sound knowledge of lubricant formulation, additive chemistry, and testing procedures. - Familiarity with lab instruments like viscometers, flash point testers, FTIR, etc. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
