UZIO (One of Uplers' Clients) is Looking for:

We are seeking a seasoned QA Manager with 1520 years of total experience, including at least 5 years in a leadership/management role, to lead, build, and oversee our Quality Assurance function. The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of all QA facets: manual testing, automation, performance, security, etc., and is driven by high growth, strategic alignment, and excellence.

This role requires someone who is not only technically strong but also forward-looking, staying up to date with emerging QA practices, AI/ML-based testing solutions, and industry trends and using them to accelerate delivery speed and improve product quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Define the QA vision, strategy, and roadmap aligned with Uzio's strategic goals and growth plans.
• Lead the QA functions end-to-end: planning, execution, and delivery of all testing activities (manual, automation, performance, security).
• Build, mentor, and grow a high-performance QA team. Ensure skills development, career progression, and hiring where needed.
• Drive process improvements: enhance quality checkpoints, ensure best practices, introduce automation frameworks, enforce CI/CD (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI), version control (Git) / DevOps-aligned QA workflows.
• Evaluate and adopt AI/ML-driven tools and practices in QA to increase efficiency, predictive analysis, and faster defect detection.
• Stay current with industry advancements in QA tools, methodologies, and emerging technologies; embed them into Uzios QA practice.
• Work closely with Engineering, Product, DevOps, Security, and other stakeholders to ensure quality is baked in from requirement to release.
• Define, track, and report on key QA metrics (e.g., defect density, test coverage, average time to resolve defects, performance benchmarks, security vulnerabilities, release quality).
• Lead risk analysis: identify quality risks early, plan mitigation, monitor and respond to quality issues and regressions.
• Ensure security and performance testing are part of the QA strategy. Oversee these areas either directly or via specialized leads.
• Manage QA tools, testing environments, frameworks, infrastructure. Evaluate and adopt new tools/technologies to improve efficiency and coverage.
• Plan and manage QA budget, resource allocation, timeframes for releases.
• Promote a quality culture: advocate for quality across the organization; ensure feedback loops and continuous improvement.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Experience: 15- 20 years in QA / software testing; minimum 5 years in QA leadership (manager/lead) role.
• Deep technical expertise in various testing types: manual, automation, performance, security, regression, integration, etc.
• Strong knowledge of software development life cycle (SDLC), Agile/Scrum/DevOps practices.
• Hands-on experience with automation frameworks/tools (e.g., Selenium, Appium, JMeter, LoadRunner, security testing tools, etc.).
• Exposure to AI/ML tools in QA, such as AI-powered test case generation, defect prediction, self-healing automation frameworks.
• Analytical mindset: ability to use metrics to drive decisions; strong problem solving, attention to detail.
• Good understanding of performance & security testing methodologies, standards, and tools.
• Solid stakeholder management: communicate effectively with engineers, product, leadership; able to explain trade-offs.
• Leadership & team management skills: hiring, mentoring, performance reviews, resource planning.
• Ability to thrive in fast-paced, high growth environments; hungry for results; able to balance speed with quality.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, inspire, and grow a QA team. Excellent delegation and team management skills.
• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; relevant certifications (e.g. ISTQB, CSM, security/performance testing certifications) are a plus.
• Experience in scaling QA teams in rapidly growing companies or startups.
• Prior experience overseeing QA for web/mobile/SaaS products.
• Experience with cloud environments, microservices architectures, API testing.
• Familiarity with regulatory or compliance requirements relevant to your domain (e.g. GDPR, HIPAA, or domain-specific).
• Experience in international/global product delivery, offshore/onshore team coordination.
• Knowledge of generative AI, AI-ops, or AI-driven DevOps practices is highly desirable.
