Senior QA Engineer

As a Senior QA Engineer in the Population Health Informatics group, your responsibilities will include: - Creating and maintaining manual and automated test strategies. - Translating requirements and design specifications into test scripts. - Developing Test Plans and automating QA scripts for database impacts, application functionality scenarios, regression testing, negative testing, error, or bug retests in preparation for implementation in the Azure cloud environment. - Identifying and analyzing issues, performing root cause analysis to ensure data integrity and accuracy. - Enhancing the quality of data in Population Health through the development of functional QA infrastructure and dashboards. - Logging and tracking defects, collaborating with Data and Service Engineers to identify and resolve issues. - Partnering with Global Engineering teams to achieve shared goals and focusing on collaborative outcomes. - Working closely with developers and analysts with speed in an Agile framework. Qualifications we are looking for: - 4-7 years of experience in manual and automated QA testing of large-scale DB systems and ETL data pipelines. - Demonstrated QA automation and functional testing expertise. - 3+ years of experience in writing medium to high complex SQL queries and a solid understanding of RDBMS. - 3+ years of experience in ETL, DB, and BI testing. - Strong analysis and debugging skills. - Familiarity with version control tools like GIT. - Experience with Python and control flows is a plus. - Knowledge of Cloud Platforms such as Azure and Snowflake. - Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. - Preferred experience in the Healthcare Industry. - Knowledge of Pyspark is advantageous.
