Senior QA Engineer

Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior QA Engineer with strong expertise in manual and automation testing and a solid understanding of application security testing. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, functionality, and security of our software products. Experience in identifying vulnerabilities, conducting penetration/security testing, and recommending solutions will be highly valued.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, execute, and maintain comprehensive test plans, test cases, and automation scripts.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, and system testing to ensure product quality.
• Conduct security and vulnerability testing, including penetration testing, to identify potential threats.
• Collaborate with developers, project managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver high-quality software.
• Track, document, and manage defects to resolution.
• Ensure compliance with best practices for quality assurance and security testing.
• Mentor junior QA team members and promote QA best practices within the organization.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in QA, with expertise in both manual and automation testing.
• Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
• Hands-on experience with automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, TestNG, JUnit, or similar).
• Experience with security testing/penetration testing tools (e.g., OWASP ZAP, Burp Suite, Nessus, Metasploit, or equivalent).
• Good understanding of OWASP Top 10 vulnerabilities and secure coding practices.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and test integration.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and communication skills.

Nice to Have

• Certifications such as OSCP, CEH, or ISTQB.
• Experience with performance/load testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner).
• Knowledge of cloud environments (AWS/Azure) and their security aspects.
