About the Role
As a Project Review Associate at Rexera, you will review condominium projectdocuments, ensure regulatory compliance, and help manage financial risk. This rolerequires a strong background in underwriting U.S. mortgages, knowledge of borrowerincome and assets, and experience reviewing escrow and condominium documents. Key Responsibilities: 1. Project Review and Analysis: • Follows and complies with current Agency and Investor project guidelines toensure standards are met for mortgages sold and delivered, secured by unitswithin Condominium Projects for various investors; Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac,FHA, VA, and various Jumbo investors, as well as Co-op Projects for Fannie Maeand Freddie Mac. • Detailed review of condominium; questionnaires, financials, insurance, recordedlegal documents, as well as review of litigation, ground leases, affordablehousing, resale deed restrictions, and private transfer fees. • Analyze and approve condominium projects per loan program parameters, suchas Limited Review, Full Review of Established, New Construction forconventional, FHA, and VA reviews. • Communicate with clients regarding ineligible or declined projects, providingclear reasoning and guidance.
2. Compliance and Guidelines:
• Stay current with relevant guidelines, updates, and industry best practices. • Ensure every project review meets required standards and risk managementprotocols.
3. Training and Support:
• Mentor and train junior team members on compliance requirements, documentreview, and risk analysis. • Provide subject matter expertise to internal teams and support client-facingcommunications as needed.
Desired Skills & Competencies
• Advanced knowledge of condominium project standards for FHA (SUA &DELRAP), Conventional, and Jumbo investor programs.
• Strong ability to analyze complex condominium documents (CC&Rs, public
offering statements, reserve studies, insurance, and plans). • Proficiency with Encompass or other paperless mortgage loan originationsystems. • High proficiency in online research and digital tools for data extraction andorganization. • Highly organized with strong attention to detail; capable of managing complexworkflows and meeting SLA requirements. • Excellent written and spoken English, with a neutral/US-friendly accent for clientcommunication. • Confident in liaising with government agencies, real estate professionals, andstakeholders on compliance matters. • Strong teamwork, interpersonal skills, and professional communication abilities • Ability to work independently while handling multiple tasks simultaneously.
Required Qualifications
• Minimum 2 years of experience in US mortgage underwriting, risk management,or real estate compliance. • Bachelors degree in any discipline (non-technical background preferred). • Expertise in reviewing borrower income, asset, and appraisal review. • Experience in title research, tax/permit record review, or related complianceareas. • Proven ability to manage high-volume, detail-oriented operations in the US realestate domain.
