We invite you to contribute to a sustainable future working in an open, collaborative and empowering culture.As our new Permanent Way Design Engineer, you will be part of a world class, innovation driven engineering design center owned by an independent trust and its employees. You will collaborate with your colleagues to play a critical role in delivering on projects that involve multiple clients in countries across Europe, primarily in Germany. REC is a highly sophisticated center of engineering excellence and based in our India head office in Gurgaon. Working in partnership with all our established offices globally, the Ramboll Engineering Centre (REC) is a center for excellence in design by offering optimized solutions to the rest of the organization.
Your Key Tasks And Responsibilities Will Be
- Carry out track designs and provision of technical support throughout to support all stages of design.
- Independently deliver / manage the production of design deliverables in accordance with client requirements.
- Review the work of less experience engineers and CAD technicians in the team and maintaining quality of deliverables,
- Overseeing and troubleshooting the work of geometric design of P-way/Rail tracks, guide the less experienced engineers in carrying out the design and preparation of the drawings.
- Keep up to date with industry best practice and where appropriate apply best practice within the team environment.
- Proposes approach to solve new problems encountered.
- Provides guidance to entry level engineers.
- Performs work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule with little supervision.

- ProVI, AutoCAD
Qualifications
- BE/B. Tech degree in Civil Engineering from an institute of repute. ME/ M. Tech would be desirable
- Should have 10-12 years of experience in P-way design. Knowledge of German rail design codes and other international standards would be desirable.
- Knowledge of understanding of the analysis and design principles of Track & P-way Design, Regression Analysis of existing Railway Lines, design of Depot/ Yard Design
- Have hands on experience in using ProVI design software
- German language professional working proficiency (Level B1/B2) is required
- Should have knowledge of tools like AutoCAD/ MicroStation and preparing drawings in accordance with internationally recognized standard formats
- Understanding of multi-discipline railway design interfaces
- Have technical / functional acumen, he should have good communication skills and should be able to present their work.
- Should be a good team member, self-motivated and should coordinate with other team members and the project manager for timely delivery of project
- Good communication skills (English language skills in written and verbal) and the ability to work within a small team whilst having a dedicated approach to working within and meeting strict project deadlines
