Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Power BI Consultant to lead the design, development, and deployment of impactful dashboards and data visualizations. This role demands a deep understanding of Power BI capabilities, strong data modeling skills, and the ability to translate business requirements into actionable insights. As a senior consultant, you will work across cross-functional teams, contribute to strategic initiatives, and ensure high standards of delivery and performance. Lead the end-to-end development of Power BI dashboards, ensuring visual appeal, functionality, and business relevance. Gather and interpret reporting requirements from stakeholders, architect data models and dashboard solutions accordingly. Leverage advanced Power BI capabilities, including Power Query, DAX, M language, and API integrations to build robust reports. Optimize dashboards for performance and user experience, including data refresh scheduling and version control. Ensure strong data governance and security by managing user access and role-based permissions within Power BI. Collaborate closely with data engineering and business teams to manage source data connections and ensure data quality. Drive technical discussions, provide consulting expertise, and offer recommendations aligned with business objectives. Mentor junior team members and support capability development within the team. Maintain documentation, adhere to agile delivery practices, and support the broader analytics strategy. Required Skills and Experience 4-6 years of hands-on experience with Power BI, including complex DAX queries and Power Query transformations. Strong SQL skills and solid understanding of data warehousing, BI concepts, and dashboard performance optimization. Experience with data integration from multiple sources and handling complex data relationships. Ability to design intuitive and interactive dashboards for business storytelling and decision-making. Proficient in managing Power BI workspace, publishing reports, and scheduling refreshes. Familiarity with agile methodologies and experience working in a fast-paced consulting environment. Certifications in Power BI or related visualization tools (eg, Tableau, Qlik). Exposure to big data technologies (eg, Hadoop) and modern data stacks. Understanding of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and version control in analytics workflows. High emotional intelligence, cultural adaptability, and effective communication skills. Demonstrated ownership mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and client value.
