Job Description

As a Senior Systems Platform Architect at Mastercard, you will be a part of the Infrastructure Design Services team responsible for analyzing and designing infrastructure frameworks that meet the needs of applications, platforms, or systems while adhering to Mastercard's operational standards. You will collaborate with application teams and other critical stakeholders to ensure that the infrastructure and application architecture align with security, scalability, and availability standards. Your primary deliverable will be the Technical Architecture Document (TAD) outlining the infrastructure design. Your role will involve generating requirements, creating technical documents, logical flows, and models to keep all stakeholders informed and in agreement on evolving applications, systems, or platforms. You will be responsible for maintaining architectural products and resolving internet architectural and operational issues impacting infrastructure globally. Researching and evaluating new technologies for potential deployment, you may lead regional projects, ensuring system stability and compatibility through monitoring and performance tuning. To excel in this role, you should possess a deep understanding of network and operating system principles, web middleware, load balancers, web application firewalls, database technologies, cloud technologies, Zero Trust Architecture principles, and Network Micro-segmentation. Experience with YAML-based deployments is essential. Your proactive and detail-oriented approach, along with strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills, will be crucial in working effectively with diverse project teams. You must be self-motivated, result-driven, and capable of handling challenging opportunities. Key responsibilities will include maintaining system stability, implementing and supporting internet infrastructure components, performing problem diagnosis, capacity planning, and configuration management. You will play a vital role in ensuring the security and performance of Mastercard's infrastructure while adhering to corporate security responsibilities such as following security policies, safeguarding information integrity, reporting security violations, and participating in mandatory security trainings. As a Senior Systems Platform Architect at Mastercard, you will have the opportunity to showcase your leadership, initiative, customer-centric approach, and ability to adapt to new technologies swiftly.
