Position Overview:

As a Senior Pharmacist, you will be responsible for directly engaging with patients, validating prescriptions, and recommending suitable doctor-approved substitute medicines that help them save on costs while maintaining treatment efficacy. This role focuses on enabling patients to save on their prescribed medicines by providing quality substitutes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review prescriptions and ensure accurate understanding of medications prescribed.
  • Connect with patients to validate their orders and recommend suitable doctor-approved substitutes based on the same salt and strength.
  • Educate and convince patients about cost-saving substitutes and their benefits.
  • Handle escalated cases and provide expert resolution with professionalism.
  • Ensure adherence to all telepharmacy and patient data confidentiality guidelines.
  • Provide feedback to the management on process improvements and training needs.
  • Maintain high-quality interactions with patients in both English and Hindi (knowledge of regional languages is an advantage).

Required Qualifications:

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Pharmacy (D.Pharm/ B.Pharm / M.Pharm).
  • Minimum 2–3 years of experience as a Medical Representative (MR), with prior hands-on experience in suggesting or handling medicine substitutions in a retail or online pharmacy setup.
  • Strong clinical and pharmaceutical knowledge (e.g., differences between SR, PR, pediatric and geriatric medications).
  • Excellent communication, patient counseling and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in reading prescriptions and ensuring prescription validity.
  • Flexibility to work in rotational shifts.
