Role Overview:

The Senior AU Paraplanner will assist financial advisors by preparing high-quality statements of advice, projections, and analyses for clients. The role involves understanding financial planning concepts, superannuation, pensions, investments, insurance, and related laws to deliver accurate and detailed financial recommendations.

Key Responsibilities:

Understand financial planning concepts and relevant laws/terminologies (super, pension, insurance, investments).
Prepare high-quality Statements of Advice (SoA) documents.
Conduct cash, super, pension, and investment projections.
Prepare comparisons for super, insurance, pension, and investments to assist advisors.
Collect and document client and product information.
Conduct detailed cashflow projections and financial calculations.
Perform need-analysis covering insurance, investments, retirement, and tax.
Conduct portfolio analysis and provide advice on portfolio structure and risk.
Prepare investment strategy charts and applications.
Contact investment/insurance providers for client information.
Maintain and update client data in software systems.
Review SoAs prepared by team members.
Capture task requests, review end-user details, collect additional data, and generate reports.

Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications:

Graduate/Postgraduate in Finance or relevant degree.
Understanding of financial planning processes.
Strong attention to detail and report writing skills.
Proficiency in English.
Ability to work independently and multitask.

Preferred Knowledge & Skills:

CFP certification is an added advantage.
Certifications from FPSB, NCFM, etc., preferred.
Leadership skills and sound communication.
Proficiency in MS Word and Excel.
Technical knowledge of insurance, mutual funds, trusts, taxation, etc.
Self-motivated and accountable.
