Senior Officer - Quality

As a QA Supervisor at AkzoNobel, your primary responsibility will be to oversee the QA function and HSES to achieve agreed performance targets. You will need to understand the current capabilities and constraints of machines and products, identify improvement opportunities, and apply techniques to enhance machine performance without compromising product quality. Your role will involve managing daily manpower utilization, ensuring the standard of QA personnel, and training the workforce to meet job requirements. Additionally, you will be accountable for maintaining transparency in product realization processes and ensuring full compliance with statutory requirements. Your functional responsibilities will include effectively planning and utilizing QA manpower, analyzing product parameters to eliminate defects, managing multiple products and processes simultaneously, controlling paint and coating processes, troubleshooting equipment and product parameters, tinting and color matching of powder coating, developing quality inspection plans, driving continuous improvement, analyzing customer complaints, and adhering to HSE&S requirements. You will also be responsible for driving new product introductions, reducing rejection and waste generation, managing audits, overseeing production targets, and focusing on a safe working environment under HSE&S guidelines. To excel in this role, you should possess good interpersonal and leadership skills, have a visionary outlook for site development, exhibit problem-solving abilities, make quick decisions, and have extensive experience in managing asset performance and integrity. You should also have a strong understanding of quality assurance, manufacturing, and process technology, as well as knowledge of business processes for innovation and new product development. Familiarity with manufacturing excellence tools like 5S, HSES, and World Class Manufacturing will be beneficial. In this position, you will have the autonomy to make decisions independently to ensure the delivery of products as per plan. To qualify for this role, you should hold an MSC in Paint Technology or a Bachelor of Technology in Chemical/Mechanical Engineering from reputable institutes. The ideal candidate should be between 25-30 years old and have 2-4 years of work experience, with a significant portion dedicated to handling powder coating manufacturing/production operations autonomously.,
