Senior Officer - Packaging & Development

Packaging Development & Trials

• Develop primary, secondary, and tertiary packaging materials for new and existing products.
• Arrange and monitor product stability sample submissions to R&D.
• Coordinate transportation and machine trials, including follow-ups and documentation.
• Conduct plant and vendor visits for machine trials and online proofing.

Costing & BOM Management

• Prepare tentative Bill of Materials (BOM) for initial product costing and tender submissions.
• Create and update item codes and BOMs in SAP for all packaging materials.

Cross-Functional Coordination

• Collaborate with Marketing for secondary packaging design and artwork development.
• Coordinate with Drug Regulatory Affairs for licensing and regulatory approvals.
• Liaise with Legal for trademark registration and compliance documentation.
• Work closely with CQA for packaging quality standards and approvals.

Artwork & Vendor Management

• Develop and finalize artwork based on packaging dimensions and marketing inputs.
• Follow up on artwork approvals from all CFTs (R&D, QA, QC, Regulatory, Production, etc.).
• Release approved artworks to Purchase and Planning teams.
• Approve printed packaging proofs and shade cards from vendors.
• Coordinate with vendors for development activities and material procurement.

Change Management & Compliance

• Initiate and follow up on change controls for packaging updates.
• Implement artwork changes based on regulatory, legal, production, and marketing needs.
• Ensure feasibility of secondary packaging at plant level.
• Size tertiary packaging materials after feasibility checks.

SAP & Documentation

• Initiate FG codes and follow up for new product requirements.
• Maintain all packaging material specifications for plant and procurement teams.
