Senior Nurse Executive (OT Specialist ) IVF Center

Femcare Fertility is a women's and fertility treatment hospital, so a female candidate is preferred.

- Welcoming and greeting patients at Femcare Fertility.

- Introducing yourself as the patient nurse.

- Understanding the patient's purpose for visiting the floor.

- Admitting patients as per their requirements.

- Escorting patients to their rooms or wards.

- Once the patient reaches her room or ward, orient her about:

- What to expect during her stay in the hospital today.

- Orientation on the facilities available on the same floor and hospital services.

- What to do in case of any queries.

- Assisting Consultants, Gynecologists, Physicians, and Medical Officers during their rounds in the hospital.

- Upon admission, measuring and noting the patient's temperature, pulse, blood pressure, and other vitals, and informing the Medical Officer/Assistant Gynecologist.

- Assisting the technician with ECGs.

- Administering injections and starting IV lines as per the consultant's orders.

- Carefully transferring the patient to the operating theater as per the planned time.

- Returning the patient to her room/ward and following the consultant's orders.

- Providing relatives with all relevant information before and after procedures/surgeries. If the patient's anxiety level is high, the nurse can inform the Medical Officer and, if necessary, the Gynecologist.

- Taking regular rounds of the patients and recording their vitals as per the nursing sheet.

- Instructing patients relatives to visit the drug store and pay for the medications used in the operating theater.

- Performing the following activities before discharge:

- Providing medicines, operation CDs, reports, and discharge cards if applicable to the patient.

- Removing VIGO/urine bags, etc., as per nursing protocol.

- Checking all patient vitals, including nausea, vomiting, fever, blood pressure, etc.

- Verifying the payment status of the patient.

- Maintaining drug stock daily and checking the expiry of drugs every three months.

- Administering trigger injections to OPU patients two days before the OPU procedure.

- Preparing dressing trays and sending them for autoclaving. The autoclave tray can only be used for two days; otherwise, it needs to be autoclaved again.

- Assisting Gynecologists/Medical Officers in medical dressing of patients.

- Always being kind and well-mannered to patients and colleagues and remaining well-groomed as per hospital policy.

- Maintaining medical records as per the law.

- Following all instructions for medical waste management.

- Remaining groomed as per hospital policy and maintaining cordial relations with patients and colleagues.

- Handling inpatients, outpatients, and the operating theater.

- Having prior experience in gynecology or fertility hospitals is required.

- While starting duty for the day, taking messages from the previous duty nurse and, when leaving for the day, passing on any messages to the next nurse joining the shift.

- Taking indoor rounds of already admitted patients.

- Maintaining the order book for injections and medicines given to patients.

- Participating in all training and development sessions as planned by management.

- Following all instructions, duties, and responsibilities as given by management from time to time.
