Description
As a Senior Network Engineer at our company, your primary responsibility will be to ensure the availability of our customers' data and voice networks. You will also be tasked with deploying advanced network solutions to meet our customers' business goals. Your focus will be on Day 2 operations, which involve maintaining, patching, and updating network security solutions. To excel in this role, you should have a strong understanding of Palo Alto Networks products, such as Prisma Access, Prisma Cloud, and Panorama. Additionally, a proven track record of success in maintaining and optimizing complex network security solutions is essential. Experience with other industry-leading vendors like Cisco, Fortinet, and Juniper would be highly beneficial. Key Responsibilities: - Maintain and optimize Palo Alto Networks security solutions, including firewalls, Next Gen Security for NGFW, Panorama, Strata Cloud, SD-WAN, Prisma Cloud, and SASE - Implement patching and updates to Palo Alto Networks products - Troubleshoot and resolve complex network security issues within existing customer environments - Collaborate with other engineers to ensure the ongoing stability and security of customer networks - Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation reflecting the current state of customer environments - Stay up to date on the latest security threats and vulnerabilities - Provide Tier 3 support to the NOC and internal teams - Participate in on-call rotation - Assist with the integration and management of Palo Alto Networks security solutions with other security technologies - Provide guidance and training to junior team members on Palo Alto Networks products and best practices Qualifications Required: - 10+ years of network administration experience - 5+ years in a network security engineer role - 3+ years of experience working with Palo Alto Networks products, including Prisma Cloud, and SASE - PCNSE/SSE certification - Expert-level understanding of network concepts and protocols, including SD-WAN technologies - Experience with Cisco, Fortinet, and Juniper firewalls is a plus - Experience with routing and switching technologies from Cisco, Juniper, Extreme, Aruba, and Ciena is a plus - Excellent written and verbal communication skills - Ability to work independently and as part of a team - Strong problem-solving skills - Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer (PCNSE or SSE) certification In addition to the above qualifications, the following are desired or preferred qualifications for the role: - Palo Alto Networks Prisma Certified Cloud Security Engineer (PCCSE) - Cisco Certified Network Professional Security (CCNP Security) or equivalent - Experience working in a Managed Service Provider environment - Other relevant certifications, such as Juniper Networks Certified Professional Security (JNCIP-SEC) or Fortinet Network Security Expert (NSE) - Project Management experience - Familiarity with change management processes and procedures We look forward to welcoming a talented and experienced Senior Network Engineer like you to our team.
