The L3 Network Engineer specializing in Wireless, Switching, and Firewalls is a senior-level professional responsible for designing, implementing, managing, and troubleshooting complex network environments. This role involves working with wireless infrastructure, Layer 2/3 switching, and firewall security systems to ensure a robust and secure network. The L3 Network Engineer will provide advanced technical support, mentor junior staff, and collaborate with various teams to deliver high-quality network solutions. Key Responsibilities: Network Design and Implementation: Design, deploy, and manage wireless network solutions, including access points, controllers, and wireless LAN controllers (WLCs) to provide optimal coverage and performance. Advanced Troubleshooting and Support: Act as an escalation point for L1 and L2 network support teams, providing advanced troubleshooting for wireless, switching, and firewall-related issues. Diagnose and resolve complex network issues such as connectivity problems, packet loss, latency, and security incidents. Use network monitoring tools and packet analyzers (e.g., Wireshark, SolarWinds, Cisco DNA Center) to identify and address performance bottlenecks and failures. Wireless Network Optimization: Conduct site surveys using tools like Ekahau or AirMagnet to design and optimize wireless coverage, capacity, and performance. Troubleshoot RF-related issues, such as interference, channel overlap, and signal degradation. Configure and optimize wireless security protocols, including WPA3, 802.1X, RADIUS, and EAP. Network Security and Compliance: Configure and manage firewall rules, VPNs, and security policies to protect network resources and ensure compliance with security standards. Perform regular security assessments, vulnerability scans, and audits to identify and mitigate security risks. Respond to and resolve network security incidents, including DDoS attacks, malware outbreaks, and unauthorized access attempts. Network Monitoring and Maintenance: Implement and maintain network monitoring systems to proactively detect and resolve issues before they impact operations. Perform regular maintenance tasks, such as firmware upgrades, configuration backups, and patch management for network devices. Job Description As a TS Security Engineer specializing in Network equipment, your primary responsibility will be to ensure the security of the organization's Network Equipment In this role, you will be responsible for designing and implementing security testing frameworks and carrying out thorough security assessments to identify vulnerabilities and weaknesses in the Network Equipment architecture. Responsibilities Create a test plan for the network equipment as per ITSAR standards . Conduct security assessments and penetration tests on various IP Router and Wi-Fi CPE devices. Identify and analyze vulnerabilities, misconfigurations, and weaknesses in ITSAR IP Router and Wi-Fi CPE. Develop and execute test plans, methodologies, and tools to assess the security of IP Router and Wi-Fi CPE. Collaborate with network architects, engineers, and developers to design and implement secure IP Routers and Wi-Fi CPE and configurations. Provide recommendations and remediation strategies to address identified security issues and improve the overall security posture of Network Equipment. Stay up to date with emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and security best practices related to IP Router and Wi-Fi CPE and technologies. Participate in incident response activities and security incident investigations related to network equipment security breaches or incidents. Document and communicate security findings, assessment results, and recommendations to stakeholders and management. Contribute to the development and enhancement of security policies, standards, and procedures specific to 5G network security. Qualifications Test plan and testing experience in a broad range of network security protocols both IPV4/IPV6. knowledge of Network Defense, Proxy, Firewalls, and Authentication Servers (LDAP, RADIUS, Local Auth, etc.,) Hands-on Security protocols - Captive Portal, Port Security, VPNs, IPSEC, DOT1x, Web Auth, and EAP Methods. Penetration tests and vulnerability assessments on computer systems, networks, and applications to identify potential security risks and vulnerabilities. Knowledge of cryptographic encryption algorithms, key exchange algorithms, hashing/message authentication algorithms, PKI, random number generators, TCP/IP, SSH, HTTPS, SSL/TLS, IKE, etc. Tools experience is desirable, exposure to any or all these tools IXIA, Wireshark, Burp Suit, Hydra, Fuzzers, Nmap, Nessus, etc. Experience building testing environments, performing testing, and reporting results (technical writing). Excellent written/oral communication skills and strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Additional Qualifications would be a plus: Knowledge of OpenSSL, OpenSSH and/or OpenPGP. Vulnerability Analysis and/or penetration testing experience/expertise. Knowledge of various programming languages (C, C++, Python & Scapy) and development environments. Security Certification is a CCNA/CCNP and CEH along with VPAT knowledge Knowledge of OWASP TOP 10 and CWE Top 25 is additional good to have along with X.509/Digital certificates and their attributes as well as protocols such as CRL and OCSP. Restoration and Resolution: Identify the network issue based on troubleshooting and decide on the actions required to be implemented for resolving the issue. Refer to required KEDB or Knowledge bases for known issues/repetitive issues and resolution steps. Implement the resolution steps, execute, validate and update ticket with steps taken and outcome. 3. Triage: Once the resolution steps are completed if the issue is still not resolved or if it s an unknown issue and standard troubleshooting methods did not resolve the issue, escalate the ticket to L3 Network SME and support the troubleshooting process, if there is a bridge, continue on the bridge along with the SME. This support includes coordination with 3rd party network vendor technicians. 4. Process Compliance: - Gather information from vendor, customer, analysis from the troubleshooting/investigation, resolution steps implemented etc. and update the tickets regularly, as per the defined process. - Prepare a detailed report on the plan of action for the existing tickets for the next shift andengineer (Shift Handover Report). - Followthrough and execute the various Escalation Matrix (Vendor , Internal and Customer defined). - Ensure tickets are closed post user/customer communication. - Constantly track tickets for SLA adherence and escalate on deviations as defined in the process. 5. Value Proposition: Understand the existing environment and propose any opportunity of improvement. Look at nagging issues in the environment and come out with Get Around solutions by working with vendors and industry experts

This role focuses on Day 2 operations; maintaining, patching, and updating network security solutions to achieve our customer's business goals. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Palo Alto Networks products, including Prisma Access, Prisma Cloud, and Panorama, and a proven track record of success in maintaining and optimizing complex network security solutions. Experience with other industry-leading vendors such as Cisco, Fortinet, and Juniper are also highly desired. Essential Functions Maintains and optimizes Palo Alto Networks security solutions, including firewalls, Next Gen Security for NGFW, Panorama, Strata Cloud, SD-WAN, Prisma Cloud, and SASE Implements patching and updates to Palo Alto Networks products Troubleshoots and resolves complex network security issues within existing customer environments.
