Senior Network Engineer Freelance

As an Onsite IT & Network Support Engineer, you will be responsible for undertaking casual, freelance-style assignments in your local area. Your primary tasks will revolve around handling L1 & L2 IT/Network responsibilities, which include desktop support, hardware installations/replacements (such as hard drives, server/rack components), and providing on-site access to networking gear (Routers/Switches/Firewalls) for remote teams. To excel in this role, you should possess a range of skills, including Desktop System Administration, Customer Service, Incident/Change/Release Management, and supporting third-party software on Windows OS. It is preferred that you hold certifications in Windows Server Administration and ITIL, demonstrating your ability to leverage programming techniques for operational efficiency and proactive solutions. A solid understanding of basic networking concepts is essential for this position, encompassing areas such as DHCP, DNS, IP configuration, wireless LAN troubleshooting, Ethernet setup, and subnetting fundamentals. Moreover, practical experience with various operating systems like Windows, iOS, Android, and BlackBerry, coupled with strong troubleshooting capabilities across devices, will be advantageous.
