Senior Network Automation Developer

As a Senior Network Automation Developer at Barclays, your role is crucial in supporting the organization to achieve its strategic objectives by identifying business requirements and solutions that address business problems and opportunities. Key Responsibilities: - Proven experience in Network or Infrastructure Automation, preferably in a large multi-site global financial environment or equivalent scale service provider - Network/Infrastructure automation using Python and preferably Ansible - Experience in frameworks and databases such as Django, Flask, PostgreSQL, etc. - Experienced in REST API development and API integration using an API Gateway - Solid experience automating network devices like NSX, Routers, Switches, load balancers, firewalls, etc. - Working knowledge of GIT, Jenkins, and other DevOps tools for integration between multiple tools - Additional skills in AWS or other public cloud infrastructure automation are valued - Excellent understanding and hands-on experience with monitoring/collector protocols such as SNMP Polls and Traps, Syslog, NetFlow, etc. - Experience with CMDB platforms, Enterprise level network management platforms, and IPAM and SoR tools - Familiarity with operating in a Scrum/Agile/SDLC environment and Linux systems - Designing and building full stack solutions based on microservices architecture using Openshift for containerization alongside python Django Qualifications Required: - Proven experience in Network or Infrastructure Automation - Proficiency in Python, Ansible, Django, Flask, PostgreSQL - Knowledge of REST API development and API integration - Working experience with network devices and cloud infrastructure automation - Understanding of monitoring/collector protocols and network management platforms - Familiarity with Scrum/Agile/SDLC environment and Linux systems The purpose of your role is to effectively monitor and maintain the bank's critical technology infrastructure, resolving complex technical issues while minimizing disruption to operations.
