Senior Merchandiser (for garment exports only)

As a Senior Merchandiser in the Textile & Apparel industry, your role involves overseeing the garment manufacturing process in an Exports Company. Your responsibilities will include: - Demonstrating expertise in woven fabric and garment manufacturing processes. - Reporting to the Managing Director and coordinating buyer meetings with sample collections. - Calculating fabric, accessories, and trims requirements based on consumption data from the CAD department. - Coordinating with the Sample Department for proto sample stitching, embroidery, printing, and other value additions, ensuring buyer approval. - Analyzing sample methods for bulk production efficiency and obtaining buyer approval for proto samples. - Setting delivery dates based on supplier capacity and production units, communicating with buyers and PPC Department. - Organizing fabric, accessories, and trims for bulk production and conducting Pre-Production Meetings for all styles. - Generating purchase orders for fabric, accessories, and trims, negotiating prices with suppliers, and ensuring timely delivery. - Developing time & action plans, process plans, work orders, and updating Bills of Materials (BOMs) and reports. - Monitoring production stages, liaising with factories, and coordinating shipment plans with buyers. - Handling shipping documents such as invoices, packing lists, and bills of lading with the Shipping Department. - Managing communication with buyers, suppliers, and internal/external inspectors, ensuring timely responses and documentation. - Overseeing final inspections, inspection results analysis, and communication with production/quality departments.
