Senior Merchandiser (for garment exports only)

As a Senior Merchandiser in the Textile & Apparel industry, your role involves overseeing garment manufacturing processes in an Exports Company. Your key responsibilities include: - Having a good understanding of woven fabric and utilizing this knowledge effectively in the production process. - Reporting to the Managing Director and coordinating buyer meetings to showcase samples. - Obtaining fabric, accessories, and trims based on consumption data provided by the CAD department for new inquiries. - Collaborating with the Sample Department to ensure the smooth execution of proto sample stitching, embroidery, printing, and other value additions. - Analyzing and selecting appropriate sample methods for efficient bulk production and obtaining buyer approval for proto samples. - Coordinating delivery schedules with suppliers and production units and communicating these timelines to buyers and the PPC Department. - Conducting pre-production meetings for all styles and generating purchase orders for fabric, accessories, and trims while negotiating prices with suppliers. - Ensuring timely procurement and in-housing of materials for production stages, along with preparing time & action plans and updating Bill of Materials (BOM) and reports daily. - Monitoring production stages closely, updating buyers on progress, and resolving any production difficulties with buyer approval. - Coordinating shipping documents creation with the Shipping Department and handling communication with buyers and suppliers effectively. - Managing inquiries, orders, couriers, and mails promptly and taking responsibility for sample inspections and inspector coordination. - Documenting customer communication clearly and channeling it to production/quality departments efficiently.
