Senior merchandiser for a leather bag export company Job description Role Summary : We are seeking a skilled Merchandiser with a strong technical background in leather goods manufacturing. The ideal candidate will lead the development of sample collections, create compelling presentations to showcase our products, and actively identify and secure B2B buyers or brand collaborations. Key Responsibilities: Sample Development: Oversee and coordinate the development of leather bag samples, ensuring precision and alignment with buyer requirements. Product Development : Collaborate with designers and production teams to create innovative designs and ensure manufacturability. Making specification sheets for sampling Tallying ready samples with spec sheets and providing feedback to suppliers, to ensure implementation of the same Presentation Creation: Design and deliver professional presentations to showcase collections, highlighting unique selling points and craftsmanship. Create/visualize an idea and make a sketch by hand and/or using computer aided design Plan and develop ranges (colors, styles and pattern) Make the designs of the products in consultation with category/brand managers and show various options Ensure the products are consistent with market trends as well as relates to market, demands, company image and business strategy Ensure brand/category clarity and parity to ensure consistency of brands/category across businesses Provide recommendations regarding seasonal themes, color trends, new concepts, etc. Provide insights regarding style and fit of product Market Research: Stay updated on trends in the leather industry, market demands, and competitor activities.
