Senior Medical Coder

You will be responsible for accurately assigning ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes based on clinical documentation. Your duties will include reviewing medical records and superbills to ensure coding accuracy and completeness. You will collaborate with providers to clarify documentation and resolve any coding queries. Identifying and reporting coding discrepancies or documentation deficiencies will also be part of your role. Additionally, you will be responsible for generating reports on coding accuracy and productivity metrics. If you are a Senior Associate or Specialist, you will analyze coding trends and recommend improvements to enhance coding accuracy. Specialists will also have the opportunity to mentor junior coders and handle complex coding scenarios, including specialty-specific cases. Qualifications required for this role include holding a bachelor's degree, along with 1-4 years of experience in medical coding or US RCM. The specific experience levels are as follows: Associate (0-2 years), Senior Associate (2-3 years), Specialist (2-4 years), and SME (3-5 years). A Certified Professional Coder (CPC) or equivalent certification is mandatory. You should also demonstrate proficiency in RCM software (e.g., Athena, eCW, etc.) and MS Office. For Specialists, a proven ability to mentor peers and drive process improvements is essential. The company specializes in various areas such as Ambulatory/Same Day Surgery (Gastro, Injections, Gynae, Orthopedic, etc), E&M IP&OP, Pain Management, Podiatry, Family Medicine, Anesthesia, Ophthalmology, IVR, and Nephrology. This is a full-time position based in Mohali, Punjab, where you will be required to work in person during EST shift hours (8:30 AM to 5:30 PM).,
