Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

Position Title : Designer for Machining Fixtures & Jigs (Engineer & Senior Engineer Position)

Position Reporting To : Section Head Manufacturing Technology, Machine Shop

Work Location : Kothur ,Hyderabad

Function : Designing and Drafting

Department : Manufacturing Technology -Machine Shop

Primary Role

• To design suitable Machining Fixtures for CNC Machines of HMC / VTL /HBM & VMC for
• the new components and prepare detailed drawing in AutoCAD for manufacturing
• Preparation of SOP and Stage wise process drawings and issue to production.

Key Responsibilities

Hands on Experience in Design of Mechanical, Hydraulic Fixtures for CNC Machines from

Medium size to larger sizes casting parts from Steel, Cast Iron, SS and forging parts.

To prepare the 2D & 3D Drawings with all details for CNC Machines using Jigs/Fixture

drawings and issue for manufacturing.

Prepare stagewise drawing of Fixtures parts & Ensuring development activities as per plan.

Preparation of Export / Domestic FG pallets drawing and cost estimation.

Capable to design for material handling equipment / lifting tackles and preparation of

detailed drawing.

To design special measuring instruments if required.

Follow up in Tool Room for manufacturing of Fixtures, gauges and templates.

To arrange indents with specification for raw materials, fasteners etc required for

jigs/Fixtures.

Good Knowledge in GD&T Parameters of parts

Qualifications, Experience

Mandatory for the Role

- DME / B.Tech ( Minimum Experience 3+ years)

- Work experience from reputed Castings Machining Organization with

knowledge in Auto CAD & Solid Works
